Unmanaged Premier League strugglers Wynnewood given AMFA Cup scare
30th June 2009 (view older stories)
What should've been a comfortable away tie at Kwik-fit Insurance Non-League side Boscombe St Johns was anything but, as Wynnewood United survived an early onslaught to progress to the 3rd round.
Boscombe were 4-3 up at half time as some woeful defending exposed talented but hugely inexperienced Wynnewood 'keeper Matt Watson.
Order looked to have been restored thanks to a wonder-goal by star Portuguese winger Edilson early in the 2nd half.
He then undid much of this good work with a bad mistake, gifting a 2nd goal to Kamran Greene to make it 5-5.
Wynnewood came back and held their nerve however, and ran out 7-5 winners.
